I am delighted to be able to serve as the Division D Governor this TM year 2011-12 and for the year, I have chosen a motto being
Succeeding is addictive
With 21 active clubs spread across four countries in Austria, the Czech Republic, the Franconian area of Northern Bavaria, Germany and Hungary with meetings in English, German and Czech, I am sure you will agree that our Division is a diversified group.
There is no doubt that a visit to any of our clubs would be time well spent. Undoubtedly our clubs are different and not only with the language spoken during the meeting. Yes, you will hear pre-prepared manual speeches, evaluations and Table Topics ( impromptu speaking ) but from one club to the next, you will find our clubs are all unique in their own way. You might hear members giving a variety of other short speeches and sometimes the entire meeting is turned around to become a reverse meeting. Now these kinds of meetings keep us on our toes! But one thing that unites our club members and that is the desire for self-improvement. Toastmasters is a public speaking organization which just happens to provide us all with possibilities beyond our imagination. Succeeding is addictive.
A warm welcome is always extended to visitors to a Toastmasters meeting. I encourage you to visit one of our club meetings or special events this year. Information about our club meetings can be found on this website. I am convinced you will not be disappointed. What is more, you too will see possibilities beyond your imagination. Keep checking our website as special events in the Division will be posted throughout the year.
