Dear Fellow Toastmasters and Guests,

Speech contests are important parts of the Toastmasters International educational program. Speech contests provide an opportunity for speakers to gain contest experience and feature interesting educational programs for Toastmasters members. They also allow those Toastmasters and guests who are not participating in contests to learn by observing the speakers.

The contests are organized twice a year (Spring and Autumn). The Spring contests offer the International Speech Contest and Evaluation Contest, whereas the Autumn contests consist of the Humorous Speech Contest and Table Topics Speech Contest. The winners of the club contests represent the club at the Area contests, the Area winners at the Division contests, and the best speakers compete at the District conferences for District 59 (Continental Europe).

While the conference will be held on Saturday, we have organised a package for the weekend which includes overnight accommodation for the Saturday evening and a visit to Valtice's largets underground wine cellar. On Sunday morning a tour of the Valtice Castle is planned.

Registration fee  for the conference is                      350 CZK or 15 Euro

Overnight accommodation in the wine school is          365 CZK  p. person incl. breakfast (no Euros accepted, only CZK)

Wine cellar for wine tasting and cold platters is        300 CZK or 12,50 Euro

Overnight accommodation
Vinary High School. This is the wine school. They provide good clean simple accommodation, 3 single beds to a room. The wine school provides breakfast. The wine school does not accept Euros!

There is a limited option to stay Friday night too. If you want to stay Friday to Sunday, please write "2 nights" or "Fri & Sat." into your registration comments.

If you would like something a little more luxurious, there are plenty of pensions and hotels in Valtice, which you can contact and book independently.

Wine cellar
The main wine cellar of labyrinth Valtické podzemi has been booked for the evening event at a cost of 300 CZK.
